Life Begins at the End of Your Comfort Zone
Challenging yourself is a way to avoid plateaus! Last week we discussed the Push-ups Challenge - 50 Push-ups a day for a Month. That will take you out of your comfort zone and help you break through Plateaus! Just like in our Strength Sessions, Tracy and I are here to guide you and help you break through plateaus by encouraging you to lift heavier or add extra reps or change the way you perform certain exercises.
For instance, if you can do 15 reps of let’s say a Dumbbell Chest Press. It is time to either grab the next set of dumbbells on the rack or crank it up! Or We might change up the way you do a Dumbbell Chest Press by changing from a sturdy bench to a stability ball. Using a Stability-ball you become the bench, which requires you to engage more muscles for stabilization! You are 100 percent igniting your core muscles and breaking through your comfort zone.
How about an Inverted Row instead of a Cable Row? One of the reasons I like to incorporate Inverted Rows is because is an excellent exercise whether you are a beginner or an experienced lifter. It requires a great mind-muscle connection which makes it all the more beneficial for when you perform other exercises. Did I mention that Inverted Row is great for core stability and grip strength, which are useful for everyday physical activities?
Your takeaway is to remember to Challenge yourself when you are working out!
Are you ready to acheive your goals?
