When is the Best Time to Work Out??

Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 12, 2023 which means it is time to “Spring Forward” One of the questions I receive from time to time is “When is the best time to Exercise?”

Some people feel the best time to exercise is first thing in the morning There is nothing like breaking a good sweat before you start your day.  Others wouldn’t even consider losing some sleep and actually enjoy unwinding after a long day by exercising at night.  The most important thing is that you do what works for you and that you are consistent in doing it.  So whatever time you feel is best time to exercise the goal is to stick to that time and do it every single day.

I exercise in the early early morning about 3:30AM.  This is my BEST time to exercise.  Once Don and I had children it basically came impossible for me to work out at night.  Yes getting up in the early morning was hard at first but they say you can start a new habit in 21 days.  The most important thing is that you do something.  We all have 168 hours in a week.  No more No Less.  But it is how we manage our time that makes a difference.  You can either control your life or let it control you.  I actually truly enjoy my morning workouts because it is done for the day and I feel more energized, less stress and ready to tackle my day.  My daughter, Dianna has now joined the early morning crew!  So pick a schedule stick to it!  You can do anything you put your mind to.  Believe in yourself.  Take charge and get your exercise in!  In the end the best time to exercise is truly up to Y O U!
