STRENGTH TRAINING IS OUR MAGIC PILL!

Ladies did you know that Strength Training is our Magic Pill? STRENGTH TRAINING is VERY IMPORTANT, not just for our muscles but for our bones.  It’s preventative for bone thinning OSTEOPOROSIS.  Do not take my word for it just ask any of my clients.  Their physicians have notice considerable improvements in their BONE DENSITY TEST. When my clients are asked by their physicians what are they doing differently, their answer is “Strength Training!”  Lift Heavy and Pump up your BONE Strength!  Heavy weights will not hurt you, poor form and poor preparation will. 

Lift heavy and pump up your Bone Strength! Of course, we must progress in safe manner but heavy strength training is not just for athletes or bodybuilders.  Those 5lbs weights you see so many people using at the gym or in exercise class may be a good starting point but won’t do the trick long term. You need to work your way up to heavy enough weight to be challenging with few repetitions.  Your bones will get stronger in the way that you stress them so building up to heavier weights and using multiple planes of motion will have the most significant impact. 

Yes, the weight room at the gym with all the complicated looking equipment, can be intimidating to a beginner. And if you back or joint pain, just picking up a weight may be daunting. Then there’s the issue of proper form. Without it you could do more harm than good trying to build strength.  This is where Real Women Lift Personal Fitness Training can come in handy. Tracy and I are “Certified Personal Trainers” there to guide you every step of the way.  We offer both One on One Personal Training and Small Group Personal Fitness Training.
