Follow My 5 Steps to Get Your Perfect Body in Time for Summer

Remember summer is just around the corner, June 21.  I am going to mention the dreaded word "DIET".

If you start with a healthy diet then you will reach your weight goal much faster.  It's not that hard and it is achievable.  

  1. Start Today! Kick off each week by making a plan to keep you on track for healthy eating all week.

  2. Add in more fruits, vegetables; One of the best ways to boost the nutrients in your diet is by adding fruits & vegetables to foods you already eat.  Fruits and veggies don't always have to be fresh to be tasty!   3. As always drink plenty of water; There are tons of health benefits associated with staying hydrated, from clearer skin to a better mood. If you need something to make it more interesting, try adding frozen fruit, lemon or fresh herbs for a flavor boost. 

  4. Avoid processed and packaged food. You know the drill!  Most food needs some degree of processing, and not all processed foods are bad for the body. However, chemically processed foods, also called ultra-processed foods, tend to be high in sugar, artificial ingredients, refined carbohydrates, and trans-fat. 

  5. Prepare your own; That way you know exactly what goes into your meals and the serving size that is perfect for you.

Quiche w/artichokes, red peppers, mushrooms

Ingredients

6 lg eggs scrambled
.5 c roasted red peppers squeezed dry
2 c chopped mushrooms
1 can artichoke quarters drained and chopped
1 oz goat cheese
1 tbsp parmesan cheese
1 tbsp olive oil
generous sprinkling of Herbs de Provence

Directions

Sauté veggies in olive oil with a generous scoop of Herbs de Provence until soft. Add veggies to round cake pan. Add eggs on top of veggies. Drop goat cheese and sprinkle parmesan. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes.
