The Correct Knowledge is Power

In order to reach your health & fitness goals you must take the time to educate yourself properly. By failing to educate yourself about eating right you will not be able to achieve the results you desire.

If you are serious about making positive changes to your health, it is essential to educate yourself, and become empowered with knowledge. Reading health related books, web articles, blogs, etc. is a great way to find some of the information that you need to live healthy. Back in the day there was no World Wide Web so finding essential nutritional information was time consuming. My access to research information about diets was the Library, where you could find just about anything in Library catalog and of course there were book stores and a few good magazines. But here is the clincher, you have make sure the information you research is coming from credible sources.

Bodybuilder's diets are pretty straight forward and healthy. I have practice this plan since I started my journey by eating quality lean protein, healthy complex carbs, veggies and fruit. I keep my meals BALANCED with quality lean protein, veggies and complex carbs. I stay hydrated to keep the body functioning smoothly especially for all the hard training I do. I NEVER skip a meal. Skipping meals is as bad as skipping workouts. Your body needs the nutrients in your meals to keep building strong muscles. I eat frequently at least 4-6 mini meals a day. Of course, there are occasional cheat days! Life would not be fun without it!

Remember to ALWAYS check and make sure your research is coming from credible sources! Do you know what proteins are and why you need them and how much you need daily? Proteins build, maintains and replaces the tissue in your body. Your muscles, your organs, and your immune system are all made up mostly of protein. Your body uses protein you eat to make lots of specialized protein molecules that have specific jobs. For instance, your body uses protein to make hemoglobin the part of the red blood cell that carries oxygen to every part of your body. Other proteins are used to build cardiac muscles - your heart. In fact whether you're running are just hanging out, protein is doing important work like moving your legs, carrying oxygen to your body and protecting you from diseases.

Protein is an essential part of everybody's nutritional plan!

Consistency creates powerful habits and powerful habit can help you conquer your 2024 goals. The world we live in is fast and Instant results are a normal part of our lives. But in this fast-paced world, there are things that still take time and effort. Your journey to be your best selves takes time, dedication, and DAILY CONSISTENCY to achieve your goals. It just doesn't "happen" losing weight and changing your body takes consistency over time!

The fact is your journey does not come easily, and the obstacles that must be overcome along the way makes the end rewards that sweeter!

If you Focus on eating real, whole foods YOU ENJOY, Strength Train 2-4 days per week and Do Cardio 3-5 days and consistent you can make progress in only 8-12 weeks, but when you do these things (strength train and eat well) consistently for long term the results just keep compounding. Stronger leaner healthier body, confidence and self-belief builder, fight depression just to name a few!

As I mention early this month, never in my wildest dreams did I imagine a shy girl from South Carolina with a desire to change her body would be on stage competing in a bodybuilding show. My journey took four years of dedication, pushing through obstacles and being consistent.
